walkers overlook wedding | anne + greg.

I met Anne and Greg for the first time on Saturday, the day of their wedding at (stunning!) Walker’s Overlook. As with all my clients, I hoped to meet with them beforehand so we could all get the warm fuzzies going about each other, but these two busy bees were wedding planning from out of state, juggling busy jobs and buying a house - it just wasn’t in the cards.

It was like a blind date that turned out awesome (so…maybe not like a blind date at all since those never turn out well?). When I arrived in the bridal suite, Anne was all business. She wanted beach waves, not retro waves. Her custom-made gown hung in the closet with less than an hour until ceremony time and she wasn’t worried. The bridesmaids weren’t worried. They all figured hey, they can’t start without us! I love a relaxed bride.

I also love gorgeous brides who have great tans and hair like Snow White and teeth that should be in a Crest commercial. Anne, I’m looking at you. Walker’s Overlook is a perfect backdrop - even without a single decoration, you’d still have a knockout day. There’s electric blue skies, an old brick farmhouse, and a white, high-ceilinged tent in the backyard. Anne and her Dad arrived to the ceremony by carriage and she and Greg were married under the big tree while their dog, Bertie, strolled leisurely up the aisle. It was the best.

Enjoy your tropical honeymoon in Antigua, kids! It was a pleasure to photograph your wedding day.
